STRAIGHT LINE KITCHEN

One wall or straight line kitchen is the best layout for space-saving concept, works well on the open space interior concept, and can be integrated with the dining room. This type of kitchen layout is commonly used with small size homes and studio apartments. With a wider wall space means the larger the available storage space.

PROS: The main choice for space-saving layout. Works well with open plan concept. Every corner of the cabinet is easy to reach. Social interaction is not good because the chef turned his back on the guests.

CONS: Kitchen size according to available wall space. When applied to the concept of open kitchen, then if the messy kitchen will be exposed from the other side of the room. There is no separation between the kitchen and the other room. Not suitable for heavy duty without additional counter space.

It is suitable for a narrow and elongated kitchen, and utilizes a parallel side wall with a maximum for the sink, refrigerator, range and storage. As the name suggests, galley kitchen design to maximize the narrow and closed space. Even so, this layout can be used for open kitchen concept. One wall is removed, replaced with base cabinet and counter space. But it's not effective, because it will leave one side of the end of the kitchen remains empty.

PROS: Commonly used for commercial kitchen layouts. Suitable for narrow and elongated house plan. Can be used for heavy duty even in a small house. Space and workflow are narrow but effective. Space utilization is very good, because no nooks and crannies are wasted. To add a social element, one wall can be removed so that one side only counter space and base cabinet, without wall / upper cabinet.

CONS: Due to the full layout, then there is no room for a dining table in the kitchen area. By default is not suitable for open kitchen concepts and social interaction. In accordance with the concept of open space in the middle can be added to the dining table dining space. Or if you need to add extra counter space, then can be added kitchen island in the middle. However, the l-shaped workflow layout can be tricky, the more you stretch the kitchen it is less effective. The distance of the triangle workflow is further away.

PROS: Ideal for open kitchen concept. Efficient and flexible for medium to large kitchens. Can accommodate dining table or kitchen island, as well as for social interaction. Suitable to be integrated with the dining room.

CONS: Space and workflow can be tricky because of the movement of the refrigerator, range, and sink are far apart. Cabinet on the corner can be difficult to use, consider open shelves at the corner. You need to add a kitchen table or island for an extra workspace, because the corner part reduces the workspace counter.

U-SHAPED KITCHEN

The u-shaped kitchen layout has three sides of wall, thus offering more storage space options. For large kitchen, then can be added dining table or kitchen island.
